Landa Falls

The longest float on the Comal River starts here. Very nice folks. Not crowded on this Monday morning. They will pick you up at the end and return you to the beginning. The water is very low and it takes about 4.5 hours to get to the Garden Street Bridge where you can get out. If you go to Union St. Bridge which is last get out, it takes between 5 and 6 hours. Bring sunscreen, water and a way to secure your items when you go through the Chutes. The first one is very fast and my husband lost his glasses and hat. I found the glasses as I had a floating lanyard on them. Never found the hat. Recommend floats on your hats too. Will come back when water is higher.

Absolutely incredible experience at Landa Falls! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the stunning natural beauty surrounding the area. We checked in around noon. Pumped our own tubes which saves you money and time - I suggest bringing your own tubes as it's convenient! At first we waited over an hour due to a shortage in tubes, but surprisingly that hour went by super fast with the company of mine and also the people around - very friendly! The river was nice. Some spots were mesmerizing. We stayed on the river for about four hours!! The tube chutes were a fun surprise. They had complimentary shuttle service in which we put our tubes in a bed of the van and hopped in!

The longest float on the Comal is a great choice because of the great price, ease of check-in, great tubes, and long relaxing ride! We traveled with a group of 7 and got an extra tube for our cooler and two kayak/wet bags we brought for valuables/snacks. I picked Landa Falls because the price was the same or better than all the other places and it had the longest float of all of them. This was a solid 3.5 hour float in early July while the water was moving very slow. It will take you longer to get to the first water chute (which is the biggest), but there is a park you can stop at to reapply sunscreen and jump in from the steps or wall for a little bit in the shade. You park across the street from the retention pond/damn area and Wurstfest area. You then walk across the street and into the Wurstfest area and there is a sign to take you down to the check-in and tube storage area. We put our sunscreen on here because it was shaded and after we checked in. Then get your tubes, hop in the water and float. When you get to the end of the float you exit where the final exit stairs are and then need to walk about a block down the street to the designated Landa Falls area for shuttle pick up. This was really clear for us and the 15 other people who were also from Landa falls, but once one of us saw the sign we directed everyone to the correct waiting area. You will cross the street from the take out area and stand along the street very near to Schlitterbahn east. Overall great company and great experience!

A wonderful, peaceful and perfect place to spend with family and friends. We came down on April 24th. No crowds! Great time to come! We used Texas Tubes. Great service! Staff was very nice and our bus driver Mr. Gillcrease was fun to talk to! Have been many times and look forward to coming back! We also stayed in our RV in their park. Right on the river! Beautiful!
